Thank you to all residents who attended any engagement sessions offered on the Crowchild Trail Corridor Study in 2015 and 2016.  The City heard our concern that there needed to be a variety and multiple engagement sessions to capture views of those who live in the communities adjacent to Crowchild Trail, and responded with a very extensive engagement process.

The final recommendations for Crowchild Trail were approved by Council in May 2017.  The Corridor study plan includes recommendations for the short, medium, and long-term.  Plans as well as the project background can be found at: www.calgary.ca/crowchild

Work on the Crowchild Trail bridge over Bow River has already commenced.  This is a friendly reminder that the speed limit has been reduced due to the construction work, and it is being enforced.  There will be detours and lane closures as part of the project, which should last until January 31st, 2018.  Traffic updates and details about lane closures can be found at: www.calgary.ca/crowchild

Some of the short-term recommendations from the Crowchild study include landscaping and sound attenuation measures within our community.  Engagement sessions will be offered in the near future so community members can have input on the appearance and location of these improvements.  We will do our best to communicate when these meetings are; please make an effort to attend and advocate for our community!
