The Main Streets recommendations for Shaganappi’s land use designations along the 17th Avenue corridor came before the Calgary Planning Commission (CPC) late last night.

The CPC is an advisory body that reviews all rezonings and ARP amendments. They considered the proposal, which had been revised based on input from Shaganappi residents.

The CPC’s reviews were very favourable and no changes were made. The Main Streets proposal for our area was passed unanimously.

Thanks again to all the residents who organized neighbourhood meetings and provided feedback on the original proposal.

The next step is a Public Hearing in April – date TBC.
