Did you know the City’s proposals to rejuvenate Shaganappi’s 17th Avenue corridor will see big changes to the neighbourhood?

This includes increasing zoning to facilitate future increases to building heights stretching from 24th St all the way along to 33 St. Some of these properties are already zoned for increased heights, and where they are not, increases in heights of 6-8 storeys may be allowed.

The proposals include a mix of residential with access from the street, and commercial properties (such as retail, cafes, restaurants, and businesses) at street level, with residential above. This will change the look and feel of the neighbourhood.

Following the two city-hosted open house events held in October, our well-attended meeting on November 22, and extensive resident feedback, the City are preparing to finalize the rezoning of properties in this area.
